Department of Information and Communication Technology

The Government has given special importance to the sector for the creation of digital Bangladesh for implementing the vision of the present Honorable Prime Minister of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, ensuring technical assistance in the comprehensive application and use of information and communication technology at district, upazila and union level; Accessing the benefits of information and communication technology to the grassroots level, provision of infrastructure security; Maintenance; Implementation; On 6 July, the 'Directorate of Information and Communication Technology' was formed to ensure the delivery of e-services in remote areas of the country through the expansion of quality control and the efficiency of computer professionals.

Effective Purpose:

3) To create high speed electronics connection to the lowest level of the country.

3) To expand the knowledge of information and communication technology at all levels of government and the people.
8) Preparation of laws, policies, guidelines and standardization related to information and communication technology.
3) Creation and maintenance of inter-operability in the field of ICT services and product use.

Functions:


3) To ensure and coordinate the use and application of ICT at all levels of government.
2) Provide support, maintenance and support to create appropriate ICT infrastructure in all departments up to the ground level.
